Sarasota County OKs Rezoning For Big Lakewood Ranch Expansion

Lakewood Ranch has secured approval for rezoning 550 acres that lie between University Parkway and Fruitville Road in eastern Sarasota County. This is part of a large rezoning package that totals 4,100 acres and is intended to accommodate approximately 5,000 new homes.
